Simulations of fast neutrino flavor conversions with interactions in inhomogeneous media

We investigate toy models for spatial and temporal instabilities in collective neutrino oscillations induced by self-interactions, with special emphasis on inhomogeneous systems densities following a profile. Simulations are based mathematica program that solves the Liouville equation or without vacuum terms, refractive terms from background medium, neutrino-neutrino forward scattering, one space dimension time. A discrete number of momentum modes characterized velocity projection direction. also consider effects charged current interaction source neutral scattering contributions. find particular density distributions profile, non-forward off medium can strongly influence fast flavor transformations. Specifically we if both present, conversions be suppressed at least delayed.
